Before/After School Programs

Licensed Before and After School Programs (often referred to as Extended Day Programs or Youth Development Programs) are available in most schools in Waterloo region and provide care for children in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6.

Some Before and After School Programs, located in schools are operated by Licenced Child Care Operators, while others, are directly operated by the Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) and the Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB). To see who operates the Before and After School Program at your child's school please see the list of schools for the 2026-2027 School Year.

To apply for programs operated by a Licensed Child Care Operator go to OneList Waterloo Region and search for the program name under the Find Child Care tab.
