Update on 2024-2025 Before and After School Program Registration
Update - October 9, 2024
Next Steps for New Registrations
Registrations submitted from August 22 onwards will be processed on Thursday October 10, 2024. You will receive a confirmation email from OneList once your registration is processed. While some programs still have space available, others have waitlists. Please refer to our wait list policy if you have questions about the waitlist.
Update on Schedule Changes
Please note that the schedule change feature will be available for families in OneList beginning Friday October 11, 2024. Thank you for your patience as we worked with the vendor, OneHSN, to restore this functionality. As per the schedule change process outlined in our Parent Handbook your child may attend full time or part time; however, they must attend a minimum of two days per week to remain enrolled.
There are some changes to this feature this year:
- A child must maintain a continuous schedule of a minimum of 2 days a week to remain in the program.
- Children must be registered in Before and After school care in order to attend camp weeks or Professional Development day camp.
Extended Day Before and After School Programs
The Waterloo Catholic District School Board (WCDSB) offers a fee based Extended Day Program for students enrolled in our schools. The Extended Day Program is available for children in JK to Grade 6.
School-based Extended Day Programs offer you access to high quality programs in one convenient location.
Where viable, programs are offered from 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday, during designated PD Days. During March and Christmas breaks, programs are offered at a reduced number of sites and may operate with reduced hours.
All programs offer:
- Age-appropriate programming delivered by the Registered Early Childhood Educators working in the kindergarten classrooms at the school. This provides a seamless day allowing for consistency and security for both parents and children.
- Customized set recurring schedule on a full-time or part-time basis (minimum 2 days per week)
- Nutritional snacks provided in both AM and PM programs.
Child Care Subsidy
Financial assistance with child care costs is available for parents/guardians. Eligibility for childcare subsidy is based on a family's income and reasons for childcare. To determine eligibility for subsidy please contact the Region of Waterloo Childcare Subsidy office at 519-883-2200 or visit their website at
Financial Help with Child Care Costs.
